To be honest for me the EL is an irrelevance. The chances of us progressing are nil, and our performances v Sion didnt merit our inclusion. As long as we can maintain some self respect from Thursday that will do me. How sad is it that my main concentration now is the CIS quarter v Hibs in 10 / 11 days time.

fully agree Shaughnessy - we won a watch replacing Sion but don't merit the place - we,ll get pumped and it,ll flatter us.

Rennes will treat it as a training exercise, and then put 3 speculative balls in the box......3-0

scared? nope. resigned to the fact? definately. for the last few years i've been recomending that everyone i know back the opposition in Euro away games to win 3-0 or 3-1, a few have and are quids in. i just can't bring myself to bet against us though maybe cash in my pocket would soften the blow a little!

someone will always want a job, celtic are still a really big club, ok mabe not on the pitch but size fan base, ground ect yes, am sure if the board spent some money like they did to get TM they could get mark hughes and give him 10 million in the jan window to spend to sort out 2 good CB's and a target man and we will be ok, then get a few more in next summer get rid of the deadwood, fucking give them free transfers if need be
thats would be a good place to start

Sad state of affairs when opposition players are talking of our great club like this!
"If we don't beat Celtic we don't merit being in Europe." Víctor Montaño, Rennes striker.

Forster, anything can happen with him.
Cha, strong and tough enough but will he be aware of where he is defense wise?
Loovens, rather reckless in more ways than one.
Mulgrew, can be steady enough.
Mathews, very right fitted and a handicap to him and the team being on the left side.
Kayal, got to keep the heid, but will he?
Wanyama, I expect him to be busy and do ok!
Ki, clever enough, needs to dig in more, but will he?
Ledley, needs to be noticed and come into the game, I will be surprised if he does.
Forrest, can be clever enough, but I just dont think he is mature enough fitba wise.
Stokes, will have a go at goal no doubt, and when its at the wrong time too! LoL

Good point in the end, they did rest a right good few players, but then again Celtic had about 5 or 6 starting players themselves in reality, I know they chose to rest players, ours were not available.
The goal is just ridiculous, sums up our defence. Thought the goalie did well, Mulgrew has been a bit shaky, and wasn't overly impressed last night, Loovens is still going to make mistakes and cost us, he did well then in the dying minutes actually ran backwards and let the ball bounce and luckily the goalie saved the shot, bombscare (I'd play Desperate Dan before him and I'm being honest).
Wanyama was good, Kayal did okay too. As for Forrest, the guy is mince, you wouldn't know he was on the park and Lenny was risking it leaving Ki on for as long as he did, his legs were away after half and hour and instead of bringing him off elected to keep him on and push him up front.
Was very surprised with the draw though.
