The players and management staff are still the same as last season when we went so close to securing a treble!!

Where has things gone wrong???

Izzaguires, Brown, K Wilson, Commons injury?
Commons fall out?
Lennon/Thompson boozing??

i know its a big IF but IF we could have held on against rangers at 2-1 or even 2-2, the complex on the season would be drastically different, we would most likely be looking down on them!

The 4 players noted as injured are 100% starters for our team, a large part of our team.

There have been several players coming out over the last few weeks in support of Lennon, so i have to assume the point 3 is wrong, therefore point 2 likely to be wrong.
Ever the optimist i believe that point 1 is what is wrong with our season, get our first choice 11 out and fingers crossed, we can claw back the 12 points before any hrmc decision is reached.

I would like to believe you are right, Super H. But even at full strength we have rarely impressed other than in short bursts in the last two seasons (last 5 seasons to be honest). The problem is deeper rooted although the injuries haven't helped. I have to admit my first pangs of doubt started when Izzy got injured. But too many bad things have happened since. A new psychology is needed at CP. Very few of the present personnel are capable of supplying that. We would need to get lucky by securing an experienced, dynamic manager by some fortunate chance of timing. You know, somebody becoming available by getting sacked or resigning in a dispute with their current club. The manager names which have been suggested on the MTH site recently leave me even more depressed I'm afraid. But I don't have a better suggestion myself.

i'm at a loss at who would be a good replacement, if Lennon is to go, look at newcastle, with pardew, by all accounts he was a yes man, sold all main palyers, Carroll, Nolan Barton and Enrique, but has created a fantastic team spirit and HIS team are flying.
so if by chance 'mourinho was to decide i fancy a wee go at that job, it wouldn't necessarily be a success, like wise we could go for a say Wim Jansen ,largely who beforehand, and he could be hughly successful.
i definately think the players that have been missing are the problem, Captain, Player of the year, signing of the season and big hope for the season.
