Speaks from the heart
Watt a wonderful world...
Celtic wrote off an energy saving first half at Fir Park by upping the Watt-age (sorry, I couldn't resist). 18 year old Tony Watt came off the bench for a memorable début.
He scored twice in three minutes after just coming onto the park two minutes earlier. Cha headed in a close range header after being picked out by Paddy for a well deserved third.
The game was looking fairly half-hearted up until that point. After securing the title it has been a pretty ordinary affair for the team.
Neil's players have no doubt been searching for motivation after two disappointing cup exits. Young players always have motivation so it was a good move by Lenny.
Watt certainly managed to repay his managers faith in him. There has been praise about the player prior to this match so seeing him play as he did is great news.
Celtic's youth set-up has been a good source for the team in the last ten years. Whilst many find themselves going on loan, holding the club to ransom or thinking the grass is greener, its moments like Watt's two goals that are great to watch.
I'm a huge fan of youth players getting a chance to play for the first team. Let's hope it is the first of many for Tony - well done that Bhoy!
Hail! Hail!
